Frequently asked questions
Yes. Our showroom at Grösslingová 58 in Bratislava, open by appointment, has samples of all materials and finishes. Write to [email protected] to arrange a visit. Because hand-finished steel and natural stone vary from piece to piece, we recommend seeing the material before ordering whenever its appearance matters to you.
Very close, but not identical. Each piece is brushed and finished by hand, so the grain of the steel varies slightly from one piece to the next, and natural stone differs in colour, veining and pores. Colours on screen also depend on your display and on the light in the photograph. These differences are characteristics of the material, not defects.
Yes. Use the Custom size inquiry on the product page and enter the dimensions you need. Before production we send you a specification with all dimensions, configuration and finish; the order becomes binding once you approve it. Please note that products made to your specification cannot be returned.
Our pieces are made of AISI 304 stainless steel, which is well suited to interiors, including kitchens and bathrooms. Outdoors it can be used in inland locations with regular cleaning. Near the sea, by swimming pools, or wherever it is exposed to salt or de-icing chemicals, chlorides can cause surface rust on 304. For such environments we can manufacture in a more corrosion-resistant grade on request; please tell us before ordering. Standard pieces are not intended for these conditions.
Our wall-mounted pieces are held entirely by their fixings, so their load capacity depends on the wall. The declared load and the recommended fixings are stated in the datasheet of each product and apply to hollow ceramic block and stronger substrates. For plasterboard and lightweight partitions, choose fixings suited to the wall build-up, ideally together with your installer. Before drilling, check for electrical, water and gas lines.
Standard products can be cancelled at any time before delivery, and as a consumer you may also withdraw within 14 days of delivery; see Returns & Exchange. Custom products can be changed by agreement until production begins. Once you have approved the production specification, a custom order cannot be cancelled, because the piece is made only for you.
Every piece is made to order in our workshop in Bratislava. The lead time is stated on each product page and runs from payment. For custom products and larger orders, we confirm the date in the order confirmation. We ship with FedEx and other carriers to the kerbside or ground-floor entrance, and you receive a tracking link by e-mail once your piece is on its way. Full details are in Ordering & Shipping.
All pieces arrive assembled, except the FLO table and the MESH shelving system, which are delivered in parts with assembly instructions. Installation is not included in the price, but we offer it by arrangement. Write to us with your location and the pieces you have ordered.
Yes, we ship worldwide to most countries. Deliveries outside the European Union are made DAP: our price does not include import duties, import VAT or customs fees in your country. You act as the importer and pay these charges on delivery. If they are not paid and the shipment returns to us, the shipping costs in both directions and any charges incurred are deducted from the refund. Full details are in Ordering & Shipping.
Businesses registered for VAT in another EU member state are invoiced without VAT under the reverse-charge mechanism, provided their VAT ID is valid in the EU VIES system and the goods are delivered to another member state. Please include your company name and VAT ID with your order. Businesses in Slovakia are invoiced with Slovak VAT. Deliveries outside the EU are invoiced without VAT; import taxes are paid by the buyer.
Note the damage on the carrier’s delivery document, or refuse a visibly damaged shipment. Then send photographs of the packaging and the product to [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange a repair or replacement and settle the matter with the carrier.
As a consumer, you can withdraw from the purchase of a standard product within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason. Return shipping is paid by you and, given the size and weight of our pieces, may be significant. Installing, drilling or anchoring the product reduces the refund. Custom products, meaning those made to your dimensions, configuration or finish (including SHO and STEW from the configurator), cannot be returned. Business customers have no right of withdrawal. Your rights in case of a defect remain unaffected (24 months for consumers). Full conditions are in Returns & Exchange.
Very little is needed. Clean the surface with water, a pH-neutral soap and a soft cloth, then dry it with a microfiber cloth in the direction of the grain. Never use cleaning agents containing chlorine, chlorides, acids or abrasives, or steel wool. Damage caused by them is not covered by our liability for defects. Once or twice a year, after cleaning, apply a thin layer of odourless oil with a cloth. Fingerprints and a soft patina will appear with use; they are part of the material. See our Material Care Guide.
Yes. Much of our work is created together with architects and designers. We provide technical files for specification, make pieces to project dimensions and develop custom solutions for residential and commercial interiors. To discuss a project or a long-term cooperation, use B2B Partner Request or write to [email protected].
On each product page, under Downloads & care, you will find the technical documents available for that product, such as datasheets, DWG drawings and 3D models. The files are provided for planning and specifying projects with inox système products. They may not be used to manufacture or reproduce our designs.
