inox système is a design studio from Bratislava working in stainless steel. We design furniture and objects, each one made locally and to order.
Why stainless steel
Stainless steel is usually seen as a technical material. We see it as a calm and honest one. It does not rust, it asks for little care, and it ages well. Brushed and finished one by one, it keeps a soft, matte surface. Fingerprints and patina appear with use, and they belong to it.
Made to order
Nothing waits in a warehouse. Each piece is made for the person who ordered it, with a price and delivery date set from the start. We make fewer things, and we make them to last.
Collections and custom work
Our work runs on two lines. The collections are pieces you can order as they are. Custom work is where we adapt them, or design something new, for a specific space. Most of our collection began this way, as an answer to a real brief from a client, an interior designer or an architect.
Working with architects
inox système was founded by architect Jakub Kolarovič. He knows how a project moves from brief to drawings to site, and he is often on site himself. For architects, that means talking to a colleague who reads the drawing, not a supplier who waits for the order.
